Providing education and training to Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and the wider community

City College Plymouth held its annual Awards Ceremony on Thursday 24 November to recognise the achievements of its students.
The Awards Ceremony celebrates the success of students in the commitment and dedication they have shown to their studies, or for the sacrifices they have made to be successful at College.
A total of 31 students, aged between 16 and 58 received the special honours. The students, representing all faculty areas, were nominated by their tutors to receive the awards that have been sponsored by local companies and organisations.
This year, the awards were presented by guest of honour, Professor Iain Stewart, Professor of Geosciences Communication at Plymouth University. Other guests included the Deputy Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, along with award sponsors, local employers, family and friends of the award winners, College staff and governors.
City College Plymouth would like to thank all award sponsors and also those employers who have supported students on courses at the College.

The Student(s) of the Term scheme was introduced in September 2008 to recognise and reward those students who are making a positive contribution to their course, the College or the local community. Each faculty has its own Student of the Term, and one of these is chosen by the Principal to be the ‘College Student of the Term,’ and one is chosen by the Students’ Union (SU) President to be the ‘SU Student of the Term.’
