Award Winning College

Welcome to City College Plymouth, one of only THREE UK publicly-funded colleges to have been awarded the Association of Colleges’ (AoC) new Charter for Excellence in International Education and Training.

The Charter is a quality kitemark awarded as a result of a two day inspection to colleges which have made a commitment to quality assuring and taking an ethical approach to all areas of their international activity. It recognises both the quality of support and services for international students and the courses on offer. Take a look at some recent education press coverage to read more about the Charter and what it means to City College Plymouth - http://www.fenews.co.uk/fe-news/achieving-the-aocs-charter-for-international-excellence

In addition, the College is a Highly Trusted Sponsor of the UK Border Agency, so with these two accreditations you can be sure of the quality of education and support you will get as an international student at City College Plymouth.

If you are still looking for a place to study this September, it’s not too late!

  • We still have places available on our university-level two year Foundation Degree courses, which are awarded by Plymouth University
  • Offered in a range of business-related subjects, as well as other subjects such as Forensic Science, Engineering and Hospitality and Tourism Management
  • These courses are broadly equivalent to the first two years of a Bachelors Degree, and on successful completion students can progress to the final year at Plymouth University
  • Small class sizes, lower entry requirements, and lower tuition fees, and if you have not achieved an IELTS score of 5.5 in each of the four test disciplines, you would still be able to apply for a visa to come here to study one of these courses

If you are not yet ready for university-level study, we offer a one year pre-university International Foundation Course, with pathways in Business and Technology/Computing, which includes subject study, English, Study Skills, IT and Maths – an ideal preparation before starting to study at university.

If you want to find out more, please click here to enter our main website for international students, or contact the Admissions Team directly by e-mail, Amy on afrench@cityplym.ac.uk or Jessica on jrandall@cityplym.ac.uk, and we can advise you on current vacancies and the most suitable course for you.
